This destruction matte painting was done for the student film, Smorgasburgh. In this shot, the house's occupants barely escape from a giant falling steak that smashes through the front of their house. The painting was done in Photoshop with a combination of reference photos, image manipulation and straight painting. Afterwards, the compositor created the camera move, added camera shake, dust and particles, a little animation, as well as bluescreen footage of a falling steak and the running actors to complete the shot.
